Workshop description:
In this intimate, 2 session introductory workshop, we’ll gather to explore the magic and medicine of storytelling—a timeless practice for deepening our connection to both personal and collective journeys.
Storytelling is an ancient and sacred form of communication, a way to speak truth and invoke transformation. From the epic chants of the Iliad and Odyssey to the lyrical visions of Celtic bards, oral stories have long served as vessels for healing, unity, and insight.
Each session, we’ll begin with a myth or poetic tale—a spark to ignite our own inner narratives. From there, we’ll step into the imaginal realm, drawing from personal memory, symbolic language, and archetypal threads to reveal what’s moving beneath the surface of our lives.
This workshop experience supports different lenses, genres, and practices of narrative exploration be they poetry, songwriting, fiction, traditional storytelling, screenplays, interdisciplinary practices and any modality that utilizes story as a vehicle for transformation.
Think of this workshop as a way to generate fresh ideas and ways of reinventing your creative process and ways of expressing stories and experimental narrative.
Together, we’ll weave mythology, astrology, experiential exercises, and intuitive tools into a tapestry that offers clarity, resonance, and meaning.
What to expect over the 4 sessions:
Story as ceremony and initiation – exploring storytelling as a ritual that opens doors to transformation -
Shared myth or poem – each session centers around a collective tale, followed by rich prompts, reflection, and discussion
Creative exercises – designed to unlock autobiographical or fictional narratives, and trace their archetypal roots
Intuitive tools – such as tarot, oracle cards, or other divination practices to support our inquiry and insight
Voice and expression – supportive guidance to help you express your story in compelling and meaningful ways.
Stream of consciousness – writing and/or drawing.
